North Coast Community Homes invites corporations, individuals, volunteer groups and students to Adopt A Home

You can make a difference in the lives of our tenants, individuals with mental retardation, mental illness and other disabilities, who earn approximately $8,500 annually.

Examples of How You Can Make A Difference

  • Become a friend to the tenants
  • Provide a holiday dinner
  • Provide a weekend picnic lunch
  • Provide birthday and/or holiday gifts
  • Send greeting cards
  • Assist with home landscaping
    • Spring Clean Up
    • Summer Planting of Flower Beds
    • Fall Leaf Raking
  • Name a house to assist with the on-going
    needs of the house in general
  • Make an annual gift to the Endowment Fund
    so your gifts can keep on giving
  • Pay an electric bill
  • Pay a gas bill
  • Pay a water/sewer bill
  • Pay for all utilities for
    • 1 month
    • 3 months
    • 6 months
    • 1 year
  • Provide paper products
  • Provide cleaning products
  • Provide general hygiene products
  • Purchase a special dream gift for the house

You are welcome to develop one on one relationships with our tenants, or you can elect to help them with their expenses, or assist with the maintenance of their home. Most homes typically have 4 residents.
