Planned Giving —
Make A Home, A Life, A Future By What You Give

We strive to make a living and to secure our retirement. We experience the ups and downs of life. We see good and bad. We are a little anxious about the continuity of life in general, and wish that we could help secure the future for mankind, or on the more personal level, for our families and causes in which we believe.
Planned Giving is a way to help secure the future.
At North Coast Community Homes, we develop and maintain housing for individuals with mental retardation, mental illness and other disabilities, where they can feel safe, can receive the supportive care they require and can live as independently as possible. Most of our tenants live in our homes for the remainder of their lives.
Your assistance is vital in safeguarding the future for these individuals, who are among the most fragile in our society and who need our help to live their lives.
Planned Giving can take many forms, including:
- Bequests — Naming of North Coast Community Homes as a beneficiary in your will or trust.
- Charitable Gift Annuity — Creating a fund from which you will receive a fixed annual income for the remainder of your life. Upon death, the principle will be given to North Coast Community Homes.
- Charitable Remainder Trust — Creating a fund from which you will receive a fixed annual income for the remainder of your life. Upon the donor’s death, the remainder of the Trust’s assets will be distributed to named charities, one of which could be North Coast Community Homes.
- Charitable Lead Trust — Upon the establishment of this form of planned giving, the charity
receives the income from the created fund for a designated period of time as set by the donor. Upon the expiration of the said time period, the remainder of the assets revert to the donor or to his or her designee. - Naming North Coast Community Homes as the beneficiary of life insurance policies or an IRA.
- Donating Real Estate for a life income gift.
North Coast Community Homes is ready to help you develop the form of planned giving that is best for you. We have suggested language that you can use for your will or trust, and we can help you create a gift annuity that will provide a steady income for you.
In all cases, you will need to consult your own legal and/or financial advisor to determine the best method of giving for yourself and for tax benefits.
