A wonderful day of golf under clear sunny skies at Chagrin Valley Country Club with a group of 139 enthusiastic golfers culminated in the raising of over $122,000 in net proceeds for the benefit of the North Coast Community Homes program in developing and maintaining homes for individuals with mental retardation, mental illness and other disabilities in northeastern Ohio.
Special thanks is given to 5 major donors, 27 corporate sponsors, and 33 platinum, gold, and silver sponsors who gave generously. Thank you also to Dick Russ, NCCH Trustee and Managing Editor of WKYC TV, who did a great job as our host for the day, to Charles J. Scheidt, Jr., NCCH Trustee and independent provider of Financial Advisory Services, for sponsoring the event at Chagrin Valley Country Club, and to Philip S. Kaufmann, Esq., Trustee and Managing Partner of Kaufmann and Kaufmann in Akron, who spoke during lunch about his role as a parent of a child with disabilities.
