ENDOWMENT CAMPAIGN UPDATE

NCCH tenents

If government funding was plentiful, always fully paid all actual costs, had the same vision of quality, was consistent over time, always met unmet needs, and kept pace with inflation or dramatic increases in utility and health care costs, then it would not be as important for North Coast Community Homes (NCCH) to seek additional sources of unrestricted income.

NCCH now provides housing for 896 individuals with mental retardation, mental illness and other disabilities in 180 properties in Cuyahoga, Lake, Stark and Summit Counties. It is our job to keep these men and women safe, to make sure they live in housing that is well maintained, and in every sense, to give them a place they can call home.

To provide for a more stable source of income, NCCH has embarked on a 5 year $5 million Endowment Campaign, which would provide approximately $300,000 in unrestricted operating funds annually.

To date meetings have been held with community leaders and potential donors to aquaint them with NCCH, our mission, and our Endowment Campaign.

NCCH Trustees, Gary Shamis and Kip Reader, have agreed to chair the Endowment Campaign Committee.

The public phase of the campaign will begin with a gala benefit to be held at Beau Ravine, the Waite Hill estate of Ed and Pat Pavlish, on Saturday, September 8, 2007. Save the date!

Everyone’s help is needed to insure the success of this very important activity, for our tenants depend on us, and they are some of the most vulnerable individuals in American Society today.
