AWARDS PRESENTED TO NORTH COAST COMMUNITY HOMES


North Coast Community Homes was honored with the presentation of the prestigious Isaiah Award from the Cleveland Chapter of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) at its annual meeting on June 22, 2006. Each year this award is given to an agency or organization that has a program or project that demonstrates:
- Outstanding initiative or leadership in working toward the betterment of the human
condition in the Greater Cleveland community, - Evidence of major effort and/or results on a continuing basis,
- Effectiveness of volunteer and community involvement.
The award was accepted by Kip Reader, Esq., immediate past Board Chairperson of NCCH, with the comment, “Not only do we provide homes for 890 individuals with physical and mental disabilities, but we do it with hard work and a dedicated, small staff.”
Stephen McPeake, President & CEO of NCCH, is being honored with the Ascentia Hero Award for his work as a pioneer in the development of community based housing for people with disabilities by the Jewish Family Service Association at the “Celebrate Life” event hosted by Ascentia: Pathways to Community Living.
