New County Board Appointments

John Martin was appointed as the Director of the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities on January 3rd, 2007. He brings with him more than 30 years of experience in working on behalf of people with disabilities and their families. His adult son, Joel, has cerebral palsy, giving John first-hand knowledge of the challenging issues faced by many individuals with disabilities and their families in Ohio.

As of October 1, 2006, H. Michael Miller became the new superintendent of Stark County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Mike served as the superintendent of Richland County Board of MR/DD from 2002 to September 2006 and prior to that he was superintendent of Knox County MRDD from 1988 to 2002.
The County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board announced the appointment of Donald C. Davies to the position of Executive Director effective January 3, 2007. Mr. Davies replaces retiring Director William R. Zumbar. Mr. Davies most recently served as Executive Director of Rosary Hall, a Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine facility. Mr. Davies brings with him 27 years of experience in programming and administration.
