New NCCH Property Service Procedures
As of July 1, 2008, North Coast Community Homes (NCCH) will be responsible for the maintenance of 10 additional group homes that had been cared for by the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. We are also developing 6 new rental properties and one group home in Cuyahoga County and a multi-family residence for 8 homeless individuals with severe mental illness in Summit County.
Due to these additional properties and a continuing increase in maintenance requests, NCCH service procedures are being revised. Routine visits by our maintenance staff will be scheduled twice a month for each home at which time minor repairs will be made. A list of the needed minor repairs should be left in a designated place for our staff member to pick up when he visits the home.
For emergencies such as no heat during cold weather, no water, natural gas leak, complete sewage back-up or water line breaks, broken locks or lost keys that prevent access to property, fire which activates the alarm system, severe storm damage, clogged toilet if only one in the building, and hazardous electrical problems, calls should be made to the NCCH office and we will respond immediately.
For emergencies such as security problems including broken windows and locks, completely clogged kitchen or bath drains, lack of hot water or water too hot, and health/safety concerns, calls should be made to the NCCH office and we will respond in 24 hours.
For problems such as non-functioning stove or refrigerator, clogged toilets when others are available in the building, improperly functioning A/C, non-hazardous electrical problems, calls should be made to the NCCH office and we will respond the next business day.
For non-functioning washers, dryers, dishwashers and pest problems, call the NCCH office at 216-662-1880 and we will respond within the week.
