Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (CCBDD) has indicated that three homes may be developed by North Coast Community Homes (NCCH) in 2010. These homes would be developed for up to twelve individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities in Cuyahoga County.

When NCCH receives approval from the County Board, we will proceed with meeting with the prospective tenants selected by CCBDD to determine their needs. Each NCCH home is developed specifically with the needs of its tenants in mind. Some homes are made accessible for people who use wheelchairs, others may require special wallcoverings and floorcoverings for the safety of tenants who experience seizures, and others may require extensive bathroom and/or kitchen renovations.

NCCH is committed to enhancing the safety of our tenants and is now installing hood fire suppression systems above the stoves in all its properties. We provide sprinkler systems in homes where the tenants require additional time to vacate the home in case of a fire emergency. Carbon monoxide and smoke alarm systems are installed and monitored in all our properties.

As of January 2010, NCCH has 98 rental properties in Cuyahoga County that are home to 364 tenants. NCCH acts as the landlord of these properties, providing both interior and exterior maintenance, as well as landscaping services.
