Mental Health

Mental Health

In 1998, North Coast Community Homes began providing housing for people with severe and persistent mental illness.

Mental health problems are very common.

  • One in 5 American adults experienced a mental health issue.
  • One in 10 young people experienced a period of major depression.
  • One in 25 Americans live with a serious mental illness, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or major depression.

Helping a person living with severe mental illness by enhancing quality of life and addressing housing insecurities supports stabilization, resilience, daily function; and improves self-sufficiency.

NCCH provides housing for men and women living with mental health disabilities in 21 properties in Summit County.
